A George II Silver Sugar Caster
George II for today
It is strange how often sugar needs to be shaken over food. Why is this wonderful piece of silver not produced in countless materials? How lucky we are to have this one, in British sterling silver and over 250 years old. It was made in London in 1758 by Samuel Wood.
Baluster-shaped, with a pull-of pierced cover with a knop finial, it sits on a circular foot which is engraved with a charming crest.

Many of our suppliers are traditional British manuacturers, often hand-crafting their products. They (and we) may well not have a large stock on the shelf ready to send. Please allow up to a week for dispatch. Additionally, note that if you order a large number of one product we may not be able to deliver all of these at the same time.
